Everything readable on this site is written by us, for the person planning a room, under the rules on this page.
Where the numbers come from
Heights, widths, tier counts, drawer counts and finishes come from our own product data for each piece. Ratings and review counts are the pooled figures for a product family, counted once per family rather than once per finish, because six colours of one bookcase share a single pool and adding them up again would inflate the number.
Safety statements lean on published guidance from the consumer safety commission. We open and read a source before citing it, the reading date is printed beside each one, and the list lives on the routine page.
The anchoring rule
No page of ours describes a floor-standing piece with drawers, doors or shelves without saying that it belongs anchored to the wall. That is not a legal reflex. It is the one instruction that the published guidance repeats above all others, and a catalogue that leaves it out to keep the copy breezy has decided that breezy matters more than a child.
Corrections
A wrong measurement gets fixed on the page. A claim we cannot stand behind gets removed rather than softened. If you catch either, contact@thefotosok.com reaches the people who can change it.
What we refuse to publish
- Invented specifics: a founding year, a named factory, a certificate we cannot show.
- A load rating or a weight capacity we cannot take from our own product data.
- Review quotes that promise durability we have not measured.
- A figure we have not checked against the catalogue.
Customer words quoted on this site are taken from published reviews of the product family shown beside them, trimmed for length and never for meaning.
